Chronic Red is a system feature that allows you to indicate when the results of your control item go off target after a certain number of months.
As the name implies, Chronic Red, causes the month’s beacon and also your goal to automatically turn red – regardless of the direction of the Good For (good for plus or good for minus).
Example:
In the image below, the control item Expenses had the result for the month of May/2021 equal to 6,900.00. As the green range is from 4,500.00 to 5,500.00, the result was much higher than expected. As the Chronic Red (CV) is set for 3 months, and August is the third month outside the predicted, the month’s light turned red.
That is, even if you have one control item that is good for more and the result is above the upper limit of the green band (therefore blue light) this control item will be red light.
IMPORTANT:
Following the example above, if in the month of Jun/2021 the result is within the forecast (green) the Chronic Red is no longer applied to this item and will only be applied if the control item reaches the configured number of months.
