FCA: Difference between action on Cause and Effect

At FCA, when you register an action, there are two options: Action on Cause and Action on Effect.

  • Acting under the effect, or symptom of the problem, be aware that it is a temporary solution and that the problem may be repeated, since only its consequence has been mitigated.
  • Taking action on the cause, identifying the root of the problem and reviewing the way the process is done, as well as reviewing the standards to prevent the problem from occurring again.
