When a user forgets their password and cannot reset it using the “Forgot my password” button, or if users who have attempted to access Gestiona multiple times unsuccessfully and their login has been locked, those with administrator profiles and the necessary permissions can perform a password reset.
In this article, we will cover:
- Changing Password
- Unlocking Password
An administrator’s password change is used when the user does not remember the registered password and cannot change it using the Forgot Password function.
On the User Registration screen, click on the Change Password button.
You will set a temporary password for the user.
Changing Password
For both changing and unlocking the password, you should first access the user registration screen. Click on one of the icons indicated below:
You can search for the user by Name, Username, Company, or Email.
To execute the search, simply click on Search or press Enter.
To open the registration screen, double-click on the desired user.
Alternatively, you can select the user directly from the hierarchical tree.
IMPORTANT:
When accessing Gestiona with the temporary password, the user will be prompted to set a new password.
Unlocking Password
Unlocking is necessary when the user has attempted to access Gestiona with the wrong password more times than allowed, resulting in the user’s account being locked.
To unlock it, simply click on the Unlock Password button on the User Registration screen.
This will allow Gestiona to enable the user to attempt to access again.
If the user remembers their password, they can try to access Gestiona normally. If not, they can use the Forgot Password option, or the administrator can change the user’s password.
